Description
The Story of the Park’s Hidden Past
The Reeders tell their story in three main sections in this book: sites within the three gaps crossing the mountains, sites moving north to south along Skyline Drive, and sites along the park trails, again moving north to south. The book is not a driving or a trail guide, but a story of the people who lived in the mountains here before the establishment of Shenandoah National Park and of the places where they lived and worked.
