On September 16, 2000 The Association changed it’s name from Shenandoah Natural History Association to Shenandoah National Park Association.

The Association from its early beginnings as the Shenandoah Natural History Association to the present has supported the interpretive and educational programs in Shenandoah National Park.

Looking ahead to 2020, we will celebrate our 70th Anniversary with a SNPA Members Day event on Saturday, May 16.  A SNPA Board committee is in the planning stages in preparation to celebrate the organizations longstanding history, membership, and the contributions it has made to Shenandoah National Park.  Members will receive an invitation to the event.  If you haven’t joined SNPA, click on “Membership” on the home page to get  more information.
